MME Academy
The development side of Mommy & Me Entertainment.
MME Academy is where a young performer's foundation gets built: training, mentorship, and parent education, before and alongside representation.
What MME Academy Is
Representation is one part of a career. Development is what makes the rest of it possible.
MME Academy is our name for the development side of the business: the training, mentorship, and parent education that sits underneath everything we do with talent and brand management. It is not a separate company and it is not a shortcut. It is the same approach Mommy & Me Entertainment has used with our own roster since 2013, made available more broadly to families who are earlier in the process.
Training and mentorship
Before a child is ready for representation, they need a foundation: the ability to take direction, hold a scene, and handle the parts of the industry that never make it into audition tapes, like rejection and repetition. MME Academy is where that foundation gets built, through the same development approach we use with talent already on our roster, adapted for families who are just getting started.
Parent education
Most parents managing a young performer are learning as they go. MME Academy's parent-facing side starts with free guides on the questions we hear most, from a child's first steps into acting through auditions, resumes, representation, and brand deals. Read them on our Guides page, starting with How to Become a Child Actor, Child Actor Auditions, and What Goes on a Child Actor Resume. Courses and workbooks that go deeper are in development on our For Parents page.
From development to representation
Development and representation are not two separate tracks; they are stages of the same relationship. A family may start with a guide, move into training, and only later be ready for the kind of management we provide to talent on our roster, including strategy, branding, and coordinating the team around a young performer as their career grows. Not every family who goes through MME Academy becomes a client, and that is fine. The goal is that every family who comes through it is better prepared, whichever path they take next.
